I’m a journalist with more than 25 years of experience, including stints as senior editor at Twin Cities Business, executive editor of Minnesota Law & Politics and editor-in-chief of Super Lawyers. I currently serve as an editor at Food On Demand and Restaurant Finance Monitor.
In my freelance life I’ve written for Franchise TImes, msnbc.com, Star Tribune, Mpls/St.Paul, Minnesota Monthly, MinnPost, and many other publications. You can find samples of my work on this site.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism from St. Cloud State University and a master’s degree in public affairs from the Humphrey School at the University of Minnesota.
Away from the keyboard, I put a lot of miles on my Asics, haven’t missed a Wilco concert since 1997, and spend entirely way too much time in bookstores, My dream dinner party would be Elvis Costello, Marilynne Robinson, Barack Obama, Tina Fey, and Andre Agassi.
